    ​Wamatangi Rallies Support for Lari Kirenga Independent MCA Josphat Kinyanjui Ahead of 2027

    County politics have started taking shape ahead of 2027 general election’s, with Kiambu governor Kimani Wamatangi urging electorates to reconsider re-electing an MCA who is able differently.

    Wamatangi applauded Lari Kirenga residents for electing Josphat Kinyanjui, even as he a Person Living With Disabilities.

    He told locals that they went an extra mile in the previous general elections, and failed to listen to the wind of politics that saw so many leaders being elected on UDA ticket, but they elected Kinyanjui who contested for the seat as an independent candidate.

    Speaking at Juvenalis Gitau primary school field in Lari Kirenga ward during the county empowerment exercise, the governor described Kinyanjui as a hardworking leader.

    The county boss noted that, the MCA never let’s his office to relax, as he keep presenting and following up on the needs of his ward.

    “You did an important job that no one could imagine. You elected a person who is abled differently. He is very hardworking, he makes a lot of follow up on the needs he presents to us” he said.

    “At times I feel if he was abled like us, he would have done a lot of work. However, he has impressed us at the county level, his work is good” the governor said.

    Wamatangi urged locals to consider electing him again so that they achieve other projects together in another term.

    He said “A lot of candidates will come and seek for your votes. It’s important you consider him for another chance”.

    Kinyanjui was also applauded by MCAs Beth Wanjiku (Nyanduma), Christopher Ireri (Bibirioni) and Nyutu Wamwere (Kijabe) among others present, who said he uses a lot of wisdom to approach on issues.

    Locals benefitted with certified maize seeds, fertilisers and avocado seedlings as a booster from the county government to plant as the country prepares for the September rains.

    Others received improved Kinyeji chicks and piglet’s, so that they can start farming of the same.

    The governor said his government has been supporting locals with such items so as to ensure that every home has enough food.

    “We have visited some homes of people who had benefitted with some pigs and chicken and as we speak, those pigs have multiplied and the chicks are grown up chicken which were laying eggs.

    “We will continue with empowerment program since we want to reach out to as many residents as possible. We aim at boosting what our people are doing ” he said.

    Kinyanjui thanked Wamatangi for visiting the residents and distributing the items, thanking him for also visiting dispensaries in the ward so as to ensure that locals were being served as they had wished.

    “We want to thank our governor for the concerns he has for his people. He made an impromptu visits to all our dispensaries. He wanted to see how locals were being treated, the challenges the operators are facing and also inspecting ongoing construction projects in them” he said.
