Lari MP Aspirant Josephine Miano Praises Surge in Gachagua’s Party Popularity

A Kiambu politician has praised the Democracy for Citizens Party for gaining huge following as well as becoming popular within a short period of time after it was launched.

Lari member of parliament aspirant Josephine Miano said this has been resulted by its leader who is former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua giving Kenyan’s hope for a better country in a near future.

Gachagua has been on the record criticizing Kenya Kwanza government led by President William Ruto after he was impeached.

The former DP has been pushing the Ruto’s administration citing corruption, tribalism, conflict of interest, poor distribution of resources, increased taxation of basic commodities and services making life for many Kenyans unbearable among other issues.

However, Gachagua has been promising Kenyans that, if his party forms the next government after 2027 general elections, he will work on lowering the cost if living.

Miano noted that, despite the current government having all it has to ensure the country has grown and lowered the cost of living, it has concentrated on doing other projects.

“We have been wondering if leaders in the current government have heard the people’s prayers of lowering the cost of basic commodities and some services so that life can be affordable to many Kenyans regardless of where they live or come from” she said

“Telling people where we went wrong, and also advising them on how they can avoid doing a mistake again while giving them hope for a better and an affordable future, makes people not only to follow but also to trust you, and is what Gachagua did and he is still doing. I’m so sure he will go an extra mile” she noted.

Speaking at Gituamba village at the weekend, the politician said the messages Gachagua has been giving Kenyans has helped him to grow his party as well as gaining more followers, urged residents to make their desicions wisely and consider voting for him as the President in next general elections.

However, locals described Miano as an approachable, listening, development minded and a concerned leader.

A Kimende town businessman Peter Njenga said Miano who worked as a banker some years ago, has been distributing school uniforms to children from needy families for over 15 years, even before she decided to run for a parliamentary seat.

He also adds that, since she has also been a member of a board of management (BOM) of a school in Lari he did not want to disclose, Njenga added that she is well informed about the challenges faced by the education sector in the constituency.

“We never thought she would contest for a seat. She used to be concerned about the needy children, even today. She would even offer food stuff to needy families. However, all over sudden, she declared her interest to run for Lari parliamentary seat and many people started making declarations that she deserves for that chance” he said.

A curator from Kinale Rose Nyambura said that Miano usually makes a follow up on an issue you share with her requesting for he help or a contribution.
