Thindigua is a rapidly growing residential area within Kiambu Sub-County, popular among foreign nationals, students, and professionals due to its proximity to Nairobi and local amenities.
Over the weekend, a routine medical emergency response turned into a police investigation after a 59-year-old foreign national was found dead inside his residence at Nafuu Classic Apartments.
Local authorities, led by the Kiambu Sub-County Police Commander were called to the scene after the deceased’s housemate reported the incident to the police.

Law enforcement officers in Kiambu Sub-County have opened an investigation into the sudden death of a 59-year-old foreign national at Nafuu Classic Apartments in Thindigua over the weekend.
The deceased, identified as Labrosse Simon Patrick, a national of Seychelles, was reportedly residing with a local host, Kelvin Mungai, who had been accommodating him since June 2026.
Confirming the incident, Kiambu Sub-County Police Commander Elema Sora stated that Mungai alerted the authorities after discovering Patrick unresponsive in their shared apartment.
According to preliminary police reports, the deceased suffered complications after allegedly taking an overdose of sildenafil (commonly known as Viagra)—a medication he had been explicitly advised against using by a medical practitioner at a nearby health facility.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered medical treatment notes left on the table. The documents indicated that Patrick had been treated on Saturday evening by local doctors who administered medical care to reverse the effects of the ingested medication. He was subsequently discharged in a fair condition and returned home.
According to the housemate’s statement to the police, Patrick woke up following his discharge, drank some porridge (uji), and went back to sleep. Later, Mungai checked on him and found him non-responsive.
Medical personnel from the same facility were summoned to the residence, where they pronounced Patrick dead. Doctors suggested he may have taken the medication a second time after returning from the clinic.
Officers found Patrick seated on a sofa with no visible body injuries, covered in a blue Maasai shuka.
The body was subsequently transferred to the St. Teresa Hospital Mortuary, where an autopsy will be conducted to further confirm the reported death as police continue their inquiries.
