The facility, which was commissioned on Thursday, is expected to improve service delivery by providing residents with a convenient point of access to government services, including applications for national identity cards and birth certificates.

The development is expected to ease the burden on residents who previously had to travel to Kiambu Town to access some of the services, saving them time and transport costs.

Mr Waithaka presided over the commissioning ceremony alongside Assistant County Commissioner Madam Mukami Kariuki, who represented the Senior Deputy County Commissioner for Kiambu Sub County, Mr Titus Macharia.

The commissioning marks another step in efforts to strengthen local administration infrastructure and improve access to government services at the grassroots.

Speaking during the event, Mr Waithaka said his leadership remained committed to initiatives that directly improve the lives of residents by making public services more accessible and responsive to their needs.

He said the provision of administrative infrastructure was an important component of development, noting that residents should not have to travel long distances to access basic government services.

The MP said his development agenda was focused on strengthening service delivery, expanding access to essential services and ensuring that projects undertaken in the constituency had a tangible impact on the community.

The new administration block is expected to enhance the working environment for local administrators while providing residents with a more accessible facility for addressing administrative matters.

The commissioning was attended by Assistant Chief of Kiukenda, Madam Njeri Ng’ang’a, Nyumba Kumi elders and area residents.

The project comes amid growing emphasis on decentralising government services and strengthening local administrative structures to ensure that citizens can access essential services within their communities.

For Kiamumbi residents, the new facility is expected to reduce the inconvenience associated with travelling to Kiambu Town, particularly for those seeking documentation and other services handled by local administration offices.

Mr Waithaka, who has been spearheading development initiatives in Kiambu Town Constituency, said his focus remained on delivering projects that respond to the needs of residents.

His development message, “Yangu Ni Kazi Tu,” underscores his emphasis on service delivery and implementation of development projects.

The MP also uses the slogan “Fundi wa Maendeleo” to champion his development oriented leadership agenda.
