Proper motivation of learners as they progress with their education assures the society of good results in the national examinations, a former banker has said.
Josephine Miano says that learners, parents as well as teachers requires adequate encouragement so as to strengthen their working relations.

Miano who is contesting for Lari parliamentary seat on a Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) in 2027 general elections, said when all stakeholders are motivated, learners work hard knowing that there are people behind them and are ready to celebrate their good performances.
She said education is the only valuable asset a child can inherit from their parents.
“Education opens doors for many national and international opportunities. It also opens job opportunities to children from all backgrounds” she said.
“The lands which parents in many years ago used to give to their children as an inheritance is no more. They have sub divided those lands into smaller portions as generations builds, so as to build a house a live. You cannot do large scale farming or even expand, but with education, it assures someone to expand” Miano added.
She was speaking at Kinale comprehensive school on Monday during the prayers of the grade 6 and grade 9 candidates ahead of their national exams starting next week.
Miano also distributed success cards to the learners to wish them well. Sho also distributed success cards to the other comprehensive schools in the constituency urging learners not to be scared by the exams, but to take time and tackle all qustions since they cover the syllabus which they have been taught.
Parents thanked Miano for her support to different schools during prize giving days, saying it has motivated them.
Silas Mwaura, a Hato village resident in Kinale ward said that Miano has shown a lot of interest in working with the society.
“We have learnt a lot of issues from this politician. Miano is an approachable, listening and development minded leader with a lot of ideas towards issues that sorrounds the community” Mwaura said.
Another resident Ann Wambui from Kibathithi in Kamburu ward said Miano never disregards any call by locals regarding any issue.
“She has a character that has never been felt by locals. So many people want to associate themselves with her. She has a likeable character. A lot of her characters are the characters which electorates looks for while electing a person to be their leader” Wambui said.
Wambui reveals that, Miano has been working with primary schools which are now renamed as comprehensive whereby they identify needy learners with tattered uniforms and she buys them new uniforms.
