As the festive season brings a buzz of activity to the heart of Kiambu County, Mercylite Hospital Limited has emerged as a critical pillar of hope, offering high-quality alternative medical care that complements the busy Kiambu Level 5 Public Hospital.

Located along Biashara Street, the 74-bed private facility is making headlines for its exceptional track record in maternal health, providing a seamless safety net for residents who often face long wait times or congestion at public institutions.

According to the hospital’s Director, Rosemary Nyambura, the facility has prioritized specialized maternal services to address the growing demand for safe deliveries in the region. The hospital currently boasts a clean bill of health regarding the prevention of maternal deaths, a feat attributed to its rigorous adherence to emergency obstetric care protocols.

“We are committed to ensuring that no mother loses her life while bringing forth a new one,” stated Ms. Nyambura. “In our 74-bed capacity facility, we attend to over 100 mothers every month. Our goal is to provide a serene, professional environment where every patient feels like they are the priority.”

As Kiambu residents transition into the Christmas and New Year festivities, Mercylite Hospital has scaled up its operations to ensure 24-hour availability of doctors and specialists. Unlike the typical holiday slowdown, the hospital has “embraced” its patients with personalized care and festive warmth.

The management has introduced specialized wellness checks and enhanced staffing in the outpatient and emergency departments to handle the seasonal influx of patients.

“This is a season of joy and family,” Ms. Nyambura added. “While we hope everyone stays healthy, we want our community to know that our doors are wide open. We have embraced every patient who walks through our doors this December with the same love and care they would find at home.”

Looking ahead, the hospital leadership expressed gratitude to the people of Kiambu for their continued trust. As the year draws to a close, the hospital extended its warmest wishes to the public.

“On behalf of the entire team at Mercylite Hospital, I wish all our patients and the residents of Kiambu a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy New Year 2026. We look forward to being your partners in health for many years to come.”
