The Kiambu Water and Sewerage Company has introduced a revised rate structure for the Kiambu Sub-county. The new rates were announced by Kiambu Municipality Chairperson Thomas Kimari during a press briefing held at the Gratom Babz offices in Kiambu Town.

According to Mr. Kimari, the utility provider is working to manage water distribution across the Kiambu constituency with a focus on addressing existing supply shortages. The plan involves the installation of new piping infrastructure from Cianda to provide treated water to several residential areas.

The technical expansion is expected to reach several estates situated on the borders of the Kiambu constituency. These include Edenville, Five Star, Thindigua, Kencom, and Muthithi, as well as the Migaa and Kiora estates located within Mboi Kamiti.

As the first Municipality Chairperson appointed under the current county administration, Mr. Kimari also referenced his ongoing involvement in community social programs, specifically those providing assistance to students in need within the sub-county. The implementation of the new water rates and the accompanying infrastructure project are part of the municipality’s broader strategy for utility management in the region.
