K-Unity Bank has disbursed over Ksh 5 billion to its members as loans, this being one of the largest disbursements in the banking industry for the fastest-growing banking institution in the country.
Coming in the wake of its 50th-year celebration that took place almost a year ago, the bank is assuring its members of steady growth, stemming from an asset base of Ksh 7 billion.
Addressing members during an educational forum for the Wangige branch in Kabete, Kiambu, Director and Former Chairman John Mbitu exuded confidence in the Bank’s growth, saying it had risen from humble backgrounds to where it is now.

Mr. Mbitu called upon members to come out in large numbers and apply for loans without fear as long as all the requirements were met. “We give you loans instantly without delays so that you can also develop and grow your businesses,” he added.
According to Mrs. Elizabeth N., a member of the Wangige Branch who runs a private school in the area, she heaped praises on the bank management, saying she has been able to develop her school well, and up to now, she has also secured three private cars for ferrying learners—a thing she says was due to the loan advanced to her, noting she pays in time.
On his part, Business Development Manager Mr. Joseph Nderitu highlighted the commitment the bank had undertaken in organizing the educational forums, saying they were useful in connecting members to each other for business opportunities. “Hence we grow together as our institution motto says,” Mr. Nderitu said.
