    Kiambu Journalists End Year in Style, Root for Unity and Tranquility in 2026

    Kiambu journalists under their umbrella body Kiambu Journalists Association have ended the year in style with a message on peace and harmony in 2026.

    The fun-filled ceremony held at Paradise Lost, a serene gate-away scenery situated at the heart of Kiambu County, was marked with slaughtering and sharing meals and drinks.

    The Association Chairperson Nyambura Mburu in her message urged slthe scribes to uphold unity in their line of duty as they work to educate and inform the masses on the happenings in the region.

    Nyambura noted that with politics expected to heighten next year ahead of the 2027 general elections, it is imperative for the members of the fourth estate to stand for the accuracy and represent public interest.

    She noted that the work of scribes is sacred and called for protection of the rights and freedom of the media adding that they play a pivotal role in guiding the society towards socio-economic stability.

    Some of the renowned journalists present include Joe Nyaga (Joe Nyaga TV), Tom Kimani (KBC), Oliver Musembi (People Daily), John Kamau (Education News), Stanley Njenga (Kiambu TV), Charles Gikunga (Inooro TV), Stephen Karanja (K24), Mwihaki Kamande (Coro FM), Njau Kinuthia (Kameme TV) and the group treasurer Moses Ngigi (Inooro FM Thika)

    Others are Mathew Ndung’u (Kameme TV), Weru Mwangi (Inooro TV), Gitau Wanyoike (Standard), Rose Mwangi (Kameme FM), Anthony Kioko (KBC), Lawrence Kariuki (Kameme FM), Ngure Kang’ara (Muoroto FM), Cate Muiyuro (Kayu FM), Githua Maara (TV47), Abraham Gatheca (NTV), Kimaku Chege (KTN) and Wambui Ichugu ( Kameme FM).

    Tom Kimani, a senior journalist in Kiambu County reiterated that all scribes must adhere to the set media guidelines and code of conduct so as to cement a cordial relationship with society.

    The group is set to take its activities a notch higher next year with more social activities in the line-up.
