Voters Will Prioritize Service Over Party Loyalty, Says Lari Kirenga Aspirant

Voters will not be misled by political parties in next year’s general elections, a Kiambu politician has said.

Stephen Ngigi Ng’ang’a warned candidates seeking various seats against wasting money and time urging people to vote for them based solely on party popularity. He noted that, based on his visits to rural areas, most voters now prefer to elect individuals they know and trust.

”Most people will prefer voting for available, listening, and approachable leaders. Our people are enlightened, well-informed, and ready to grow,” he said.

”I have realized that this time around, they are considering the value an elected leader will add to their lives. Our youth, in particular, are demotivated and need someone who will empower them,” he added.

The politician, who is eyeing the Lari Kirenga MCA seat, told residents to remain watchful and listen to all candidates before making their choice.

Speaking to a women’s group at Kabunge village, he promised that his leadership would ensure all intended services and resources reach the community.

Ng’ang’a also observed that many residents across the county are frustrated with leaders who prioritize party demands over local needs.

”Elected leaders have frustrated so many people because they turn away from their constituents to fulfill party agreements,” Ng’ang’a said.
