Rescue teams in Nairobi have recovered one body from the collapsed 16-storey building in South C as the search operation enters its third day. Authorities confirmed the building violated approved height limits, raising serious questions about regulatory enforcement. Efforts continue to locate a second missing security guard amid safety concerns for neighboring structures.
The National Construction Authority (NCA) has suspended work at a thirteen-story residential project in Westlands, Nairobi, citing serious structural failure. Officials have cordoned off the site and advised neighbors to vacate immediately. A multi-agency committee is currently evaluating the building’s integrity to decide whether controlled demolition is required to ensure public safety and prevent collapse.
