Kenya Education

Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi has launched the distribution of free learning materials and furniture to all public Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) centers. This initiative will benefit over 42,000 learners in 524 centers, fully funded by the county. It forms part of a larger strategy including enhanced feeding programs, new infrastructure, and teacher development, solidifying Kiambu’s commitment to accessible nursery education.

Mount Kenya University has awarded a scholarship to environmentalist Truphena Muthoni through its foundation. The initiative recognizes her dedication to conservation, including her record-breaking tree-hugging achievement. The university emphasizes the role of education in empowering youth to transform communities and promote sustainability. This support aligns with the foundation’s decade-long history of aiding students through rigorous vetting processes.
