Juja Constituency marked a major milestone in its education support programme after area MP **George Koimburi** presided over the official launch of the Juja Constituency Bursary Disbursement Programme worth more than Sh73 million.
The event, held at Toll Grounds in Murera Ward, drew thousands of residents, students and parents, as leaders reiterated their commitment to expanding access to education and easing the financial burden on families.
Speaking during the ceremony, Koimburi described the bursary allocation as a demonstration of purposeful, people-centered leadership focused on tangible results.

“Education remains the bedrock of sustainable development. This programme ensures that no deserving learner in Juja is denied the opportunity to pursue their studies because of school fees challenges,” he said.
The launch was attended by several national leaders, underscoring cross-constituency support for education and youth empowerment. Among those present were National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Sylvanus Osoro MP south Mugirago and majority chief whip, and Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba.
Ichung’wah lauded the Juja MP for prioritizing education, noting that the Sh73 million investment would significantly cushion families struggling with rising costs of schooling.
“This substantial allocation will go a long way in ensuring that bright but needy students remain in school and complete their education,” he said.
Wamuchomba, who also addressed the gathering, praised the collaborative spirit among leaders and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting development projects in Juja to completion. She emphasized the importance of unity in delivering government programmes at the grassroots.
Beyond bursaries, Koimburi highlighted ongoing youth empowerment initiatives in the constituency, including hands-on training in electrical installation and plumbing. The programmes aim to equip young people with practical skills to enhance self-reliance and expand employment opportunities.
“This is leadership that invests in people and focuses on real transformation, not rhetoric. Our agenda remains anchored on inclusive development, household empowerment, and consistent service delivery,” Koimburi said.
Since assuming office in 2021, the MP noted that Juja has prioritized development-driven policies, with education, infrastructure improvement and youth empowerment taking centre stage.
Leaders at the event urged residents to remain united and supportive of ongoing development initiatives, dismissing divisive politics and calling for focus on tangible results.
The bursary disbursement programme, branded under the theme “Masomo kwa Wote,” is expected to benefit thousands of learners across Juja, reinforcing the constituency’s commitment to equitable access to education.
As the ceremony concluded, leaders reiterated their resolve to maintain momentum in delivering projects that uplift households and secure a brighter future for Juja’s residents.
“Investing in education is investing in tomorrow,” Koimburi said. “Juja is moving forward—together.”
