Kiambu leaders have launched a spirited campaign to condemn the ongoing harassment of Governor Dr. Kimani Wamatangi.
The caucus, comprising influential figures from across the county, lamented that the recent attacks against the Governor are unwarranted. They specifically took issue with how these campaigns have been orchestrated to taint Wamatangi’s reputation.
Led by Richard Kamau, the Chairperson for Bodaboda riders in Kiambu Town, the leaders vowed to do everything in their power to protect the Governor. They reiterated their support for the administration, noting that “internal forces” are working from within to destabilize the county government.
The group expressed particular outrage over the recent invasion and destruction of the Governor’s private businesses. They noted that these establishments—which have operated since long before Wamatangi’s tenure as Senator—were targeted without any prior notice.
The leaders are now calling for thorough investigations into these incidents to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
