A Kiambu based pilitician has dismissed former President Uhuru Kenyatta for alleging that President Wiliam Ruto did not win the previous general election.
The politician Stephen Waweru who is popularly as “Western”, said that Uhuru’s sentiments might create divisions within communities in Nyanza, Rift Valley, Central and others in Western region.
Waweru said Uhuru’s was rejected by residents of the vote rich areas of Mt Kenya, and therefore he should accept that his project of Azimio Presidential candidate the Late Raila Odinga could not be trusted by locals and that he lost the seat fairly.
“If Ruto did not win, how comes that Uhuru handed over the instruments of power? He should leave Ruto alone and stop misleading Kenyans. The issue is creating division and unnecessary divisions” he said.
Speaking to politicians in Limuru on Thursday, Waweru claimed that Uhuru and the opposition lacked issues to criticize the government of the day, adding that the issues he is raising were misleading.
“Uhuru wasn’t a performer. He now wants to withdraw the attention Kenyans have towards the Kenya Kwanza government, since it has done a lot projects within a short period of time” he claimed.
Waweru told the opposition that no matter how they will change their strategies, Ruto’s support from the grassroots of this country indicates that he will win the election with over 60 percent of the votes that will be casted.
He noted that Ruto gained support from locals owing to the projects being witnessed such as Kamandura Mau Summit road, Mau Mau road, school’s infrastructure owing to expansion of junior schools, construction of affordable housing, markets, improved international relations that opens international job vacancies, improved economy and exchange rates among others.
The politician cautioned Kenyans from following and supporting the opposition since they do not have a clear agenda for this country.
He noted that the DCP leader has been fighting the upcoming political parties in Mt Kenya region, since the DCP feels as if they want to control the region.
“Someone who is greedy needs not to be supported. Dismissing other political parties since you want to control a certain region shows that a lot selfishness, which is very unfortunate” he said.
Waweru urged locals to support Ruto’s government, since it has the best cabinet whose cabinet secretaries have been responding to issues very fast and offering solutions.
