On June 30, 2025, Waithaka announced the launch of Season 4 of the Free Weekend Academy, a collaboration with IYF Kiambu.
The program’s orientation is set for July 19, 2025, at 2 PM at the NGCDF Tower in Kiambu, opposite the Kiambu Police Station. The initiative is designed to provide skill-building opportunities for local youth.Infrastructure development has also been a focus, with several road projects underway.
On June 26, 2025, the MP shared that the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is installing concrete curbs along the Riabai-Gichocho Road. Additionally, on June 25, 2025, he reported progress on the Gichocho-Ndumberi Road, where gravelling, murraming, and compaction works are ongoing.
