Sakina described Raila as a politician who would shape the country’s politics within a short period after every elections and was trusted by his supporters.

“Raila has touched many Kenyan’s who includes his family, relatives, politicians, people from his region, as well as all Kenyan from all walks of life. The death has also been felt internationally owing to the respect he had gained” he said.

Speaking at Limuru town on Friday where he is also the Limuru sub county Kanu chairman, Sakina applauded Raila for joining President William Ruto and supporting him so as to ensure the government delivers development to the country.

“Since the 80 years old politician loved development, he joined the president and offered some of his MPs for cabinet seats and created a broad based government. He realised that political differences because one lost an election does not result in anything but chaos and poverty” he noted.

“Even in the former regime of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, the ODM leader also had a handshake with him and joined his so as to see peace, coexistence and development in the country ” he added.

Sakina at the same time praised Kanu party leader Gideon Moi for deciding to work with the President.

He said the move was impressive since one cannot negotiate anything substantive while you are not within the government of the day.

The Limuru party chairman said Ruto’s development track record was pleasing and leaders need to join him as he seeks for a second term in office.

“As the way issues are, Ruto needs other leaders and especially other parties so that they can lobby support for his second term. A president for a country like Kenya does not need a one term”. He said.

Raila will be laid to rest in his matrimonial home in Bondo area in Nyanza.
