Operating as a corporate body under the leadership of the Speaker as Chairperson, the Board ensures the Assembly functions efficiently, professionally, and independently of external political influence.
While welcoming the new Board member, Speaker Thiong’o noted that Mr. Mburu brings extensive experience drawn from both public service and the private sector.
“I wish to welcome Mr. Mburu to the Board. He joins us with a wealth of experience spanning many years in both public service and the private sector. I am confident that together we shall propel this Assembly to even greater heights,” said the Speaker.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Mburu pledged to work collaboratively with fellow Board members and committed himself to fostering unity and professionalism within the Assembly.
“I look forward to learning from the Board members and tapping into their experience as I also contribute my own insights. Together, we shall make the Kiambu County Assembly a cornerstone of success,” said Mr. Mburu.
