A Kiambu based Jubilee Party politician has threatened to incite members of the public to protest if politician keep alleging that former President Uhuru Kenya was playing divisive politics.

The politician describes leaders supporting President William Ruto insultes the former Head of state dismissing him, as lack of respect.

Speaking at Limuru town, Stephen Mwangi is popularly known as “Wama connections” said that they will print T-shirts, placards and do anything else that will show anger over the state politicians, if they debate Uhuru again.

“Even if politics is played, you cannot accuse the former head of state who served this country for two terms, alleging that he was divisive. He left this country united and his wish is to see good coexistence between people” Mwangi said.

Mwangi who is vying for Limuru parliamentary seat, said that Uhuru deserves a lot of respect since he a leader who one can seek for advise from.

State politicians have intensified accusations against Uhuru claiming he was engaging in divisive politics and trying to incite people against the current government.

Led by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa, the politicians from Kenya Kwanza coalition, intensified the accusations when Uhuru met with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and vowed to work together.

Mwangi decried that the Mt Kenya elected leaders have been misleading Ruto that Mt Kenya region was still supporting him.

“They have been misleading Ruto that Mt Kenya was supporting him because of financial gains, but in real sense, the region is waiting for Uhuru or Rigathi to tell the political direction that they will follow in 2027 general elections.

Mwangi noted that lack of trust between the current MPs and the members of the public when taxes were raised by Parliament and when Gachagua was impeached.

“Trouble started when taxes were increased by the finance bill that the youths had rejected, leaving so many of dead, other with injuries. Another one was when the former DP was impeached. We saw all those who did it. They are our people, but lost trust that cannot be regained” Mwangi added.
