A driver and his loader narrowly escaped death earlier today after an exhauster lorry carrying human waste lost control, careened through the town, and finally slammed into the wall of the Kiambu Main Prison at Indian Bazaar.

The lorry is reported to have experienced brake failure at Kanunga Shopping Centre, a distance of more than 10 kilometers from the accident scene.

An eyewitness explaining how the accident happened

Moses Ndirangu, an eyewitness, first spotted the vehicle near Kanunga High School. “It was hooting and moving at a terrifying speed, forcing motorists to veer off the road,” Ndirangu recounted.

He attributed the survival of the two occupants without injury to divine intervention, noting that miraculously no other vehicles were hit along the long route.

Other witnesses were quick to praise the driver’s bravery and skill in maintaining control of the high-speed, runaway vehicle over such a long distance.

“The driver was incredibly composed and courageous to handle that lorry for so long,” one witness stated. “Had he panicked, the outcome would have been catastrophic.”

At the scene of the accident, raw sewage spilled freely from the damaged lorry as visibly helpless wardens from the Kiambu GK Prison watched from inside the compound.

By the time of this report, breakdown vehicles were on site and attempting to tow away the heavily damaged lorry.
