Addressing the crowds, North Imenti MP Rahim Dawood was joined by fellow legislators Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East), Dan Kiili (Igembe Central), Woman Representative Elizabeth Kailemia, and Nominated MP Dorothy Muthoni. The leaders collectively urged residents to support the contractors, noting that the influx of 44.3 billion shillings in total regional investment would create thousands of jobs for the youth.
“This is not just about concrete and tarmac,” noted one official during the appraisal. “It is about putting money in the pockets of our farmers and ensuring every household in Meru has access to power and world-class healthcare.”
With the Gakoromone project now moving into the construction phase, the face of Meru Town is poised for a total makeover by the end of the year.
