The Kiambu Water and Sewerage Company is now under new management following the appointment of Mr. Thomas Kimari. Mr. Kimari, who was appointed by Kiambu Governor Dr. Kimani Wamatangi, will now oversee the delivery of water services across the Kiambu Sub-county.
Speaking to the Kiambu Observer, the renowned businessman—also known for his security company—promised a consistent flow of water to all areas of Kiambu. Specifically, he emphasized that the perennial shortages experienced in estates such as Edenville and those bordering Kiambu Road will soon be a thing of the past.
He noted that the main tower at Sasini Dam holds enough water to sustain the whole of Kiambu town and its environs. Mr. Kimari, a Ndumberi native known for his philanthropy, stated that water will now be accessible to all homesteads.
Additionally, he called upon Kiambu residents to take advantage of the current rainy season by harvesting as much water as possible. He thanked the Governor for the opportunity to serve the community, promising to deliver on his mandate diligently.
Regarding human resources, he assured all staff at the company that their jobs are secure, maintaining that their welfare is a top priority. On the issue of the sewerage system, he noted that the company is currently fixing all areas previously identified as problematic, adding that a high standard of discipline will be maintained among the staff.
