Residents of Githurai are set to benefit from significantly improved healthcare access following the official launch of a new Gulf Hospital Outpatient branch today.

The new facility, strategically located just meters from the Thika Superhighway, was unveiled by Gulf Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Grace Muthuma, who used the occasion to reaffirm the institution’s commitment to preventing maternal deaths and improving health outcomes for local families.

During her inspection of the new branch—the sixth for the hospital group—Muthuma highlighted the hospital’s enhanced capacity and readiness to deliver high-quality, reliable medical services to the burgeoning community.

“This institution now offers advanced orthopaedic services, supported by qualified medical staff, state-of-the-art equipment, and a fully functional theatre,” CEO Muthuma stated. She lauded the entire healthcare team as “excellent, dedicated, and fully prepared to serve the Githurai community with professionalism and compassion.”

Muthuma stressed that strengthening maternal healthcare remains a top organizational priority. She pointed to ongoing investments in infrastructure, staffing, and specialized services designed to save lives and ensure families receive the quality care they deserve.

A key element of the hospital’s strategy is increasing accessibility. CEO Muthuma encouraged all local residents to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA), confirming that the new Gulf Hospital branch is fully equipped to accommodate the SHA cover, thereby making comprehensive healthcare more affordable for the community.

The launch was welcomed by local spiritual leader Reverend Bishop Mirugi, who applauded Gulf Hospital’s dedication to serving humanity. He also urged community members to actively participate in voluntary medical check-ups to promote early disease detection and foster better long-term health.

With the new facility now operational, Githurai residents can anticipate expanded access to essential healthcare services, specialized orthopaedic treatment, and improved medical support specifically targeted at mothers, families, and all patients seeking reliable care.
