Ruiru constituency continues to grapple with a rapidly growing population, prompting the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) to construct at least one new school every year to meet the rising demand for education infrastructure.

The latest project, Mutonya Primary School, is part of these efforts. However, the school still requires six more classrooms, while Manguo Primary needs five additional rooms. In the densely populated Mwiki area, 30 new classrooms are needed, with 15 already completed.

Speaking during an event at St. George Primary School, Ruiru MP Simon King’ara said the constituency hosts the largest population in the Central region, currently estimated at about 600,000 people.

He assured parents that NG-CDF will soon release bursaries for Form One, Two, and Three students, after initially prioritizing support for Form Four candidates sitting their exams. He revealed that Sh90 million has already been allocated for bursaries in the upcoming year.

Thee legislator however urged residents to support the Kenya Kwanza administration to ensure continued development.
