The Department of Finance and Economic Planning has two openings: Deputy Director Supply Chain Management (Job Group CPSB 04 – ‘Q’, 1 post) and Assistant Director Supply Chain Management (Job Group CPSB 05 – ‘P’, 1 post). For the Deputy Director role, responsibilities involve initiating procurement policies, managing procurement manuals, ensuring resource planning and compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal Act (PPDA) 2005, reviewing bids, and coordinating strategic plans. Qualifications require Kenyan citizenship, a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields, membership in the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM), seven years of relevant experience, and Chapter Six compliance. The Assistant Director position shares similar duties, such as policy initiation, manual development, bid reviews, and PPDA implementation, but with five years of experience required alongside the same educational and professional qualifications.
In the Department of Roads, Transport, Public Works and Utilities, 30 posts are open for Driver I (Job Group CPSB 13 – ‘F’). Duties encompass driving authorized motor vehicles, conducting routine checks on vehicle systems, maintaining work tickets, ensuring vehicle security and cleanliness, and reporting malfunctions. Applicants need Kenyan citizenship, a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or equivalent, a valid driving license free of endorsements, a first aid certificate course of at least one week from St. John Ambulance or similar, passing the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III, a police clearance certificate, and at least two years of driving experience.
All positions are on contract terms, with salaries as set by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
