A family in Kiambu County is grappling with the devastating loss of their newborn infant, who died at a private hospital. The family claims that their pleas for help were ignored by hospital staff, who allegedly refused to attend to the mother while she was in labor.

Speaking to the media outside St. Bridgit Hospital, located along the Kiambu-Ndumberi road, the grieving parents recounted the harrowing ordeal. They expressed their deep frustration with the hospital’s conduct, stating that despite paying the required fees, they were met with a lack of care and compassion.

The body of the infant is currently being held at a Kiambu morgue. The family’s attempts to secure the body’s release have been unsuccessful, as the hospital has reportedly denied any responsibility for the incident. The family is now seeking support and intervention to get their child’s body and find a resolution to the tragic event.
