A new era of automotive care has arrived on Kiambu Road with the grand opening of Topking Autogarage. The state-of-the-art facility, which officially launched on Friday, August 1st, aims to provide comprehensive and efficient services for car owners in the region.

The launch event was a resounding success, with motorists enjoying free demonstrations of the garage’s advanced services. A major highlight was the 360-degree AI-powered car wash, a cutting-edge machine capable of thoroughly cleaning a vehicle in just five minutes, promising to save clients valuable time.

According to Francis Kamau, the Managing Director of Topking Autogarage, the business is not just about car repairs and maintenance; it’s also about a commitment to sustainability. “Green energy is a part of this establishment,” Kamau stated, revealing that the garage will also sell solar panels. This initiative, he explained, is geared towards promoting a “pollution-free environment” and making their operations more eco-friendly.

The opening was timely, Kamau noted, as many motorists in the area had long been seeking such comprehensive services. The garage’s launch also aligns with the government’s agenda of job creation for youth. Kamau proudly announced that the company has already employed 20 graduates and plans to hire more as the business expands.

However, Kamau also voiced concerns about the recent imposition of high taxes, particularly on solar panels. He urged the government to reconsider these taxes, which were previously non-existent, to make green energy more accessible and affordable for Kenyans.

The launch was also attended by senior officials from the Kenya Industrial Authority (KIA), a government parastatal tasked with attracting investors to the country. Florence Wangui, a director from the KIA, celebrated the opening as a sign of Kenya’s continued appeal as a safe and viable destination for foreign investment. She noted that the garage, which received support from Chinese investors Mr. Jack Wang and Hu Xiaojie, demonstrates the government’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for businesses.

Wangui reiterated the government’s dedication to supporting investors and ensuring they can “fully reap from the potential the country was holding.” She highlighted the establishment of Special Economic Zones across the nation as a key indicator of the government’s goodwill towards investors, promising a robust and beneficial working environment for all stakeholders.
